The short version

Quick Proposal is a tool that helps freelancers triage jobs and write proposals. We collect the minimum data needed to make that work: your email + password (for sign-in), the visible content of pages you act on, short summaries of jobs in your feed (so we can show fit scores), and the proposals we generate so you can find them later. We never sell your data, never train AI on your content, and never show you ads. You can delete everything yourself, anytime, from Settings → Delete account.

Who we are

Quick Proposal is operated by SonetCraft. You can reach us at sonet@sonetcraft.com.

What we collect

  • Account info — your email address and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider, Supabase). We never store the plaintext password.
  • Saved profile — when you click Analyze profile on a freelancer profile page, we read the visible page content and save a structured analysis (your headline, skills, niche, rate, summary). Used as voice context on every future draft.
  • Job-page content (only when you act) — when you click Analyze job, Write proposal, or Ask AI on a job page, we read the visible text of the tab you're on and send it to our backend for AI processing. We do not background-scrape and we do notread pages you haven't explicitly acted on.
  • Job-feed summaries (for inline scoring) — when you visit Upwork's, Freelancer's, or LinkedIn's job-feed pages, the extension reads the visible job cards and sends their title, budget line, and a short snippet to our scorer so it can return a fit score per job. Results are cached in your browser for one hour so we don't re-score the same job repeatedly. You can disable feed scoring at any time from Settings → In-page features.
  • Generated proposals — drafts we produce for you are saved in your account so you can find them in the Train AI list and so the AI can reference your past wins on new drafts.
  • Outcomes you mark (Train AI) — when you mark a proposal as Won, Interview, Pending, or Lost, we save that label so the AI can use winning proposals as voice references on your future drafts.
  • Writing-style templates — any sample writing you save for the AI to mirror.
  • Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe sends us back only: which credit pack you bought, the amount, and a transaction reference.
  • Usage events — a credit ledger entry per paid action (scan, analyze, draft, ask, score-batch), used for billing and abuse detection. No browsing history beyond the URLs of pages you explicitly acted on or feed pages you visited while scoring is enabled.

What we do NOT collect

  • Browsing history, cookies from other sites, or any tab outside Upwork / Freelancer / LinkedIn.
  • Keystrokes, screen recordings, or microphone/camera input.
  • Location data.
  • Health, financial, or government-ID data.
  • Information about anyone other than you.

How we use what we collect

  • To run the AI features you triggered — scan profile, analyze job, write proposal, score the feed, ask AI.
  • To run the humanizer pass on every generated proposal so it reads as human-written.
  • To save your drafts, templates, and outcome marks so you can come back to them and so the AI can mirror your winning voice.
  • To debit your credit balance per action and process purchases.
  • To detect abuse (e.g., the same person creating many free accounts).
  • To respond to support requests.

We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not show you ads.

Who we share it with

Three service providers process data on our behalf, only to the extent required to deliver the product:

  • Supabase — hosts our database (your account, profile, proposals, templates, ledger, outcome marks).
  • Anthropic — we send your profile and the page content (or feed-card summaries) to their Claude API to generate proposals, score jobs, and run the humanizer pass. Anthropic does not retain prompts to train models when accessed via their API.
  • Stripe — handles payments. We share your email and the credit pack you're buying; Stripe handles the card.

We do not share your data with any other third party. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

Data retention & deletion

Your account data lives in our database for as long as you keep your account. From the popup → Settings → Delete account, you can permanently remove everything: your saved profile, all your templates, your proposal history, your outcome marks, and any unused credits. The deletion is immediate and irreversible. Feedback messages you submitted are kept anonymized (with your user ID nulled out) so we can still learn from product feedback.

Job-feed score caches live in your local browser (chrome.storage.session) and expire automatically after one hour. They are not stored on our servers.

If you'd rather we delete your account on your behalf, email sonet@sonetcraft.com from the address tied to your account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA, similar) you may have the right to access, correct, or export your data, or to request deletion. The fastest path for all of these is the in-app Delete account action, which removes your data immediately. For access or export requests, email us at the address above and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider — we never see them in plaintext. Database access is gated by Postgres row-level security so a user can only ever read their own rows, regardless of bugs in our app code.

Children

Quick Proposal is for working freelancers. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, please email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll update the date at the top and, where the change affects how we use your existing data, we'll send you a notice in-app or via email before it takes effect.
